Nov. 22nd, 2002 04:40 pmI've no idea if you're familiar with the name Jamie Delano. He's a comics writer responsible for some excellent post-Alan Moore Captain Britain work and much better known for Hellblazer and other Vertigo titles.
He's written an interesting article for the Ninth Art about writer's block, politics, responsibility and modern philosophy and p[politics. I hold very different political views from Delano, and find some of his comments almost objectionable. However, it raises some interesting points and I'd be fascinated to hear what other people think.
It beats articles about laptops scorching genitalia, anyway.

Date: 2002-11-25 06:23 am (UTC)The article is interesting in a detached way, as a potrait of a writer who is seriously burnt-out and looking for justifications for his frame of mind in all sorts of peculiar places. In short, it tells us much about Delano and very little about the world.
