Enough is enough

I declare today the official Destroy a Clannad CD Day. Let's face it, buying Clannad was cool when we were in our late teens and early 20s and thought that pseudo-Celtic New Age frippery was a way to make ourselves seem more cool and intense. We also thought that seeming cool and intense would get us all laid more, and we all know how well that worked out.

When was the last time you actually listened to your Clannad albums? I thought as much. Your tastes have developed and you've grown more sophisticated. You can see their music for the chocolate box painting blandness that it is. It's time to throw away the McDonalds of folk music, the Burger King of Celtica.

Destroy those album, lest their curse prosper. Clannad must fall.

I have no Clannad or Enya CDs, though I did download one of Clannad's CDs from eMusic onto my work box. It's generally the wrong sort of music for work moods, as it turns out, and a little of it goes a long way...but I occasionally like it.

As for disposing of Sarah MacLachlan CD's...bring it on!!! *cues up "Into the Fire" and puts up his dukes* ;)
