Why do so-called "fried" breakfasts taste so much better when grilled and poached? They're so much better for you, too…

I'm talking about the traditional full English breakfast: fried sausage, tomato, bacon, black pudding, egg and baked beans (not fried, obviously). To me it tastes just as good if everything is grilled, bar the eggs, which are poached, and the baked beans, which are treated as normal.

All the taste, none of the heart attack.

I'm trying to think of poached bacon and french toast...blech!

I do sincerely love poached eggs though.
