While bonding away this afternoon, I leant against the hall wall. Suddenly, a small section caved in under me.

Uh-oh.

I started to investigate the new hole, and some of the plaster fell away. It kept coming off. Great chunks cascaded to the ground in clouds of dust.

So, a little more work for the plasterer next week than he expected…

Am I a bad man for wishing that you'd been hearing mysterious tappings and other noises coming from that section of the hall for years, and when the plaster fell away you discovered the skeleton of someone who'd been hideously murdered in the late 1740's and bricked up for eternity?
