7k for the day. Wow, it's like I'm my old, pre-burnout self again. If I hadn't gone to church today, I probably would have hit my old regular full day's writing count of 10k. What's more, I've finally started enjoying writing again. After weeks of only managing a few hundred words a night, and feeling like every one of them was a tortured birth, things are flowing at long last.

I still need a break, and a long one, but I'm beginning to feel that I'll come back to freelancing refreshed and eager.

What's more, Lorna's had a successful day on writing up her PhD thesis as well. If only we'd hit this writing grove a month ago, we'd both be done by now. Ah, well. Time for sleep. For the first time, I'm actually looking forward to coming back to this project tomorrow.

Glad to hear it man. I've been slacking recently too, but tonight a short story I was writing mutated into a 2000 word story *introduction* :O)

When it flows, it flows.

In case you get stuck in a rut, one thing about writing that I've recently learned is that it's much easier to write in response to a question. Apparently, the human brain is better wired to respond to such things than it is to just make shit up.

Having said that, congrats on finding your groove again!
