Did anyone notice that the BBC's Spooks is taking a leaf out of 24's book and giving the good guys Macs and the bad guys PCs?

I'm still boggled by the idea of MI5 using iMacs. Utterly implausible but enjoyably so, much like the rest of the series. :-)

Sounds like a fun series. :)

(I hadn't even noticed that about 24 - or is that only in Season 2 (which I haven't seen yet)?)

It's a season one thing, apparently. If you watch carefully, you can tell the traitor by the computer they're using.

Actually, that's a very common thing in movies and TV for the last several years, dating back to The Net, at least. If a Mac shows up, it's used by the good guy(s), and PCs are evil's weapon of choice. It's almost certainly a product-placement premium by Apple. :)

Not on the BBC - they're not allowed to do that sort of thing, because they're effectively state-funded. It's just an aesthetic decision made by the props people. You can see why, actually. It makes the MI5 office look very stylish.

My bad, I forgot it was a BBC series. :)

And I'll bet the BBC's rendition of the MI5 office is perceptibly spiffer than the real thing. :)
