addersljAs someone who thinks my lamp-style iMac is the most beautiful, ergonomic and comfortable computer I've ever worked on, I'm absolutely delighted to hear that Jonathan Ive, the British designer behind Apple's great designs, has been awarded Designer of the Year by London's Design Museum.
Apple has raised the design bar on computers and peripherals extremely high in recent years. It's a damn shame that nobody bar the more conservative Sony has come close to matching them. Computers play such a big role in our lives these days that they should look good. Design matters, you know.
