Separation

I've been thinking about things bruceb and others have been saying in their journals of late, and I've come to a decision. I now know how the separation between my blog and my Livejournal is going to go.

The Livejournal will remain the home of general rambling about my life and the odd bit of humour. All the politics and general brain dumps will go into the blog. The decision really comes down to the Friends feature of Livejournal. I don't want to push difficult and possibly upsetting things in front of you. I'd rather you went and looked at that by choice. So, politics post up on One Man and His Blog, and nothing much to see here.

OTOH, I like having difficult and possibily upsetting things thrust in front of me from time to time. It keeps me on my toes and forces me to think.

While I personally feel the same way, I am aware that some people have circumstances in their lives which make them less than mentally and emotionally robust at times. The last couple of years have taught me that those people deserve all the consideration we can give them.
