Well, the guy from the body shop picked up the car today. After a quick assessment, he declared that there was a 50/50 chance of the insurance company writing the car off. Ouch. That'll be the second one in 20 months, At least I wasn't actually anywhere near the first one while the damage was done, but even so...

Fingers crossed that the repair tab is low enough that the insurance company go ahead with it.
