Do you think cropping a photo based on the fact that the guy on the far left is really, really ugly is unfair?

I think I'd have to hear the context. I assume you're talking about the magazine you work for? If it's just like a picture of a street or something, then yeah, probably. if it's supposed to be focused on something in particular, and the guy detracts, then I guess I can see reasoning behind it.

Yes. A bit cruel..... i mean how would you feel if you heard you had been cropped from a photo because the photgrapher judged you to be aesthetically challenged? That said .... some people really are very ugly .... but it's often not their fault .... in today's "blame" culture, I blame the parents!!!!

No. The photos aren't for him, they're for the couple. The only reason to leave him in would be if removing him somehow made the photos less interesting _to the couple_.

Crop away.
