The problem is factionising (is that a real word?)
You have certain elements of the British Press who are starting to sound further right than Nick Griffin on one side, who are advocating stricter borders, shoot-to-kill policies, harsher laws etc and on the other side the 'not in my name', terror-apologist left wingers who would rather endure another 7/7 than offend anyone or have anyone arrested, god forbid deported.
I think what the media needs to do now more than ever is just report the facts in an unbiased and sensible way and hope for the best.
