The weekend started with a lovely Italian meal with Mrs T., before I saw her off to Bristol.

I wrote. I wrote quite a lot, actually, and rewrote even more. The latter meant I didn't do quite as much of the former as I would have liked. But still, my writing funk seems to be gone.

I went to a very silly party. (Warning: sound)

I signed off a tonne of mailing lists I just don't read anymore, including a lot of RPG-related ones. Life moves on. My in-box is much more interesting now.

I finished the Mac version of Dungeon Siege. Anyone out there got a Mac, Dungeon Siege and interested in some online Multiplayer?

Lorna came home from her weekend at her Mum's.

A good weekend.

In an attempt to keep my blood pressure under control, I'm going to be writing about the things that annoy me this week, as much as I can in a public forum, anyway.

For example, the people who believe in the magic ticket gate annoy me. They're the ones whose ticket gets refused by the first gate they go through at Charing Cross, and decide that somewhere along the line is the magic gate that will accept their ticket. Thus, they queue up at each gate in turn, only to have their ticket refused. By the time they've admitted defeat and gone to talk to the gate attendant, they've wasted five minutes of their own time, and annoyed a dozen commuters who were standing behind them when they tried to get through the gate.

And no, putting your ticket through the same gate repeatedly isn't going to make it work any better, either.

I know what, try licking it. No, it won't help, but it'll give some London commuters a much-needed laugh.
