And it's only just after midnight.

For those (very) few people who read this and who aren't already aware of its existence - [livejournal.com profile] ephraim, [livejournal.com profile] jfs and [livejournal.com profile] nortysarah probably - I'm one of the contributors to the RockScissorsBlog.

It's a new multi-contributor Blog on the theories and practice of game design. Stop by, stay a while and leave an insightful post as you leave.

Of all people, the Charity Commission is finally doing something about Abu Hamza al-Masri.

He's entitled to believe that the September 11th attacks were justified, if he wants. He can continue to praise Bin Laden and Al Queda too, if he wishes. He certainly should not be allowed to do so under the auspices of a registered charity, though.

So where do you think the new Harry Potter book is in the books charts. months before its release? you guessed it. No 1.

Now this is a strange article. BBC Technology writer Bill Thompson is arguing that new technological measures put in place by the Bush Administration are turning the US into something of a Police State. That initially seems rather rich, given that we have CCTV cameras on most street corners these days. However, he acknowledges that later on. So, perhaps this is a decent argument that things are not necessarily that much worse in the UK.
