I believe you can boost the memory to up to 1Gb, either as build-to-order at the Apple Store online, or at an Apple Store. I'll check once the Apple website starts responding again...

the Apple UK site was fine about 10 minutes after you posted the original message. Of course, it may just have been that I was slightly ahead of the crowd. :-)

They were quoting £330 iirc for the UK price.

Hmm. It's hella slow right now. I don't know if that fact I'm using the sekrit National Union of Journalist discount version of the store has any bearing on the problem, but each page load is taking an age.
