I've just eBayed some old stuff, and every single item jumped by anything from £2 to £5 in the last few minutes of bidding.

It looks like sniping is becoming the default method of bidding.

Aye

I noticed the exact same thing, just put a ton of old crap on Ye Olde eBay here, and stuff that was at $0.01 with 1 bid on it jumped from 5-15 bids and by leaps and dollars within the last 2 minutes of bidding (!).

Insane.

It does indeed - I pretty much gave up on attempting to buy anything via Ebay, though perhaps I should clear out my games collection at some point using it. I could do with the space ...

That's partially what I've been doing. I really need the space in my study, and many of the books I have I'll never open again.

I'm even seriously contemplating selling some old WW stuff and replacing them with PDFs.

I have been unable to purchase anything on ebay in the past month that hasn't been Buy It Now.

On the other hand, as a seller, I've been happy.

Oh well.
