Lorna and I hauled our lazy butts out of bed to vote this morning.

If you're a Brit and reading this - please go and vote.

A democracy can't function properly if people don't vote. What's more, with proprtional representation part of the elections your vote will count.

Vote.

OK, it's a moot point because I'm out of the country... But I _genuinely_ detest all of them. I see very little difference in any of the parties, and absolutely none in any of the personalities. I don't want to encourage any of them with any hint of my approval. Is that not a valid choice?

That said, I do customarily go in and write notes on my ballot, so that at least they know I'm not impressed with the Clone Menu I'm being offered...

Voted already mate.

And in my position on the local council helpdesk I have helped a lot of people do the same.

Personally I voted Conservative in the local elections and UKIP in the Euro Elections. Even if they don't get in, hopefully it will shock the government into some action.

I thought that I had better make my position clear, before you had chance to comment on my choices :O)

I voted for UKIP, even though some consider them to be a kind of "BNP Lite" simply because I disagree with Mr. Blair's 'disregard the voters, what do they know - i'll do it anyway' attitude over European issues. Not because I like Robert Kilroy Silk - who sounds as trustworthy as a shark in a suit.
