Well, if they're there to read, I'll read 'em and commiserate, but I can also just take it as read that your day sucked and commiserate just on that. :-) Among the LJs I follow (occasionally or daily), there's a fairly wide spectrum, from what I would personally consider oversharing (if I were doing it) to almost no personal sharing at all; so I'm pretty comfortable with wherever a particular blogger chooses to fall.
