Remembering Hunter: the Reckoning
Feb. 19th, 2004 09:59 pmThe Time of Judgement approaches, and that means the end of the two WoD games I've done the most writing for: Demon and, especially, Hunter.
Sure, I'm working on Werewolf: the Forsaken and other stuff for WoD 2.0, but I'm gonna miss Hunter especially. For those who care, I always thought one quote summed up that game for me. One of my players came out with it in an early session of it. He claimed it was from Zulu, but I haven't watched the film recently to see if he was right, of if it's a complete misquote. No matter. It was always in my mind when writing for the game, because it captures everything that was great about it, especially when you think about it in the context of the movie:
"Why us, sarge?"
"Because we're 'ere, lad. And because there's no-one else."

Date: 2004-02-20 06:11 pm (UTC)Still, there's the beauty of rpgs, we don't necessarily have to continue to miss it. Just cos you no longer are going to write it doesn't mean we no longer get to play it. Run us another session sometime, eh? Name a weekend (at least a month ahead) and I'll travel wherever to play. Whaddya think?
