Every weekday morning I endure a journey into London city centre. This should be a simple 15 to 20 minute train ride, yet somehow the train operating company Connex have turned it into a new circle of Hell. The trains are always late, overcrowded and badly maintained. They're often cancelled without notice. The staff are unhelpful and lazy.

Everyone kept saying "it can't last". Well, they were right. It's all over for Connex from the end of the year. My only fear now is that things will get worse between now and then, as the company simply doesn't care any more.
