The first lot of questions, from [livejournal.com profile] docredfern.

1) So what's coming up in the game writing queue for you?
I've just finished up my part of Dark Ages: British Isles and now I'm hard at work on another, unannounced Dark Ages project. After that, it's my first work for Exalted since the screenbook. I'm excited about that because it will allow me to draw upon knowledge I've never used for game writing before. After that, it's a brief return to the Dark Ages before starting work on a very exciting sekrit project.

2) Your political feelings have been fluctuating recently. Where do you stand at the moment?
Interesting question. The major decision I've made is that the old definitions of "right wing" and "left wing" no longer apply, but people still think in such a tribal way that if you express a view attributed to one of those camps, they'll assume you hold all the views of that camp. On some issues I'm very left wing, on others very right wing.
If I were to sum up my current position it's "cynical idealism". I belive in a social security system - but I believe that we should be tough with those who abuse it. I believe that there will always be people who abuse it. I believe in public services and tax to pay for them, but I believe that the people employed by those services should be held to account and it shouldn't become a cushy job for life. I believe that the carers should have the final say, not the beaurocrats. I believe that public sector workers should remember that the taxpayer is their employer. I believe that the taxpayer should remembers that our tax buys the firemen who risk their lives for us and the doctors who care for us and the people we love, and stop doing cash-in-hand work. I also belive that the taxpayer should remember that public servants often work cheap, and be grateful for that. I belive lawyers and judges should be more concerned with the spirit of justice rather than intellectual games over the letter of the law. I believe that we should welcome all asylum seekers, give them English language lessons and train them in fields where we have a shortage of people, and set them to work at a reasonable wage. I believe that people who reject this should have their application for asylum rejected. I am opposed to career politicians and belive that MPs should be forced to work for a decade prior to their first election.

3) Do these pants make my arse look big?
They'll be fine once you put the trousers on. I didn't realise they made arse-reductions pants for men, though.

4) Here's $10,000 US. What are you going to do with it?
Pay off the wedding debts and sort out the bathroom and kitchen. Yes, I'm married.

5) Okay, have you got your copies of the Demon Player's Guide yet? 'Cos this is starting to piss me off.
No, mainly because I'm not due one. My next published work for Demon will be Damned & Decived: the Book of Thralls. Might buy one on the way home tonight, though. :-)
