A word from me
Sep. 12th, 2004 05:34 pmGosh, it's been a while since I posted here. In fact, my posts are so infrequent that this journal could officially be considered "disused".
There's a number of reasons behind that, I think. For one, I have a mental association between this Livejournal and freelancing for the gaming industry. As I am, for the time being, out of that game, I haven't felt called to post here.
One Man + His Blog is getting more readers than this journal, too, and being a complete reader-slut, I'm going where the audience is.
I'm also spending less time at the computer than I used too, simply because there isn't the compulsion to sit at it in the evenings and write to a looming deadline. When I am at the iMac, I tend to be working on photos or video rather than words. After all, I write and edit all day long, so doing something different in the evening is rather a relief.
The third issue of GRID goes to bed next week, and that's been keeping me busy. Editing my own magazine with a circulation of well over 30k has been one of the highlights of the last year, and we're upping the frequency next year. Much happiness.
And that's why I haven't been posting here.
