The renovation of chez Tinworth continues today. A man is up a ladder replacing our knackered downpipes, as a first step towards wholesale roof replacement. Still, in a city like London, making sure your property is watertight is pretty vital.

The guy who "repaired" the downpipe a few years back was a cowboy of the first order, it appears. Ah, well.

The Political Compass

angusabranson posted an interesting link to quite a thoughtful analysis of where you lie on the political spectrum. It's not the normal, shallow "quizilla" meme, but a serious attempt to look at the breakdown of modern politics. I come out as slightly left-leaning and slightly libeterian which seems about right. I'm in the same quadrant as Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama, just mush more moderate than those gentlemen.
