As regular readers will know, I'm firmly in the "Not keen on the idea of war, but accept that it might be necessary" camp. I'm also in the "there are bloody idiots on both sides" camp. Case in point, the human shield members who have
quit Iraq because the Iraqi government wanted to put them in military targets.
Did they really think that the Iraqis would put them in civilian installations? For a start, the Iraqis are quite happy to kill their own civilians, so they aren't going to be too concerned about other people doing it. Secondly, believe it or not, if we do go in, we won't be targeting civilian buildings intentionally.
Much as I applaud growing particpiation in the political debate, I do suggest people apply a modicum of thought and research first.
