At Last - MPs Take Notice
Jan. 14th, 2003 11:00 amIf I do end up staying in the UK, one thing I take for granted now is access to broadband. I would struggle to live without it and my life would be poorer for the reduced access to information and communication that would ensue. So, ADSL and cable modems are my friends. Well, they are in most of the country, at least.
You see, the problem is that significant swathes of the country aren't able to get broadband yet. They're usually, but not always, rural areas, some distance from major towns. Sadly, they broadly correlate with the sorts of places I'd like to live in when I get the hell out of London.
At long last, and MP has discovered that his constituents are being stiffed in this regard and is starting to do something about it. More power to him.
