God, I wish I was writing rules. Rules are fun to write.

Instead, I'm writing setting. Christdamn I hate writing setting. Almost as much as I hate writing GM advice.

I don't mind writing rules, but judging from my success with them, I'm not much good at it, which is a bit sad. They tend to be heavily redlined (or be complained about on the WW forums :-) In theory, rules and ST advice keep me focused on gaming stuff when I'm writing setting and fiction.

(BTW, is there any reason I can reply to replies, but not to your actual posts? For example, I sent you some Word Macros recently, but I'm not sure you saw them...)

I went through a span of several books in a row (starting with Adventure and finishing around Abyssals or so where all I wrote was ST's advice. By the end of that span I had nothing left of interest to say. Before that it was history.

I'm enjoying setting and rules stuff. I'm not tired of either of them yet.

Well, I like writing rules and I like writing setting material (and doing the two together so they gel, mmm.) However, I'm less keen on writing GM advice or theme info, though that can still be fun on the right project. Horses for courses, I guess.
