Invite Code Round-up

Now that LJ invite codes are a thing of the past and anyone can create their own journal, I thought it might be worth looking at how I've used my codes.

1. [livejournal.com profile] semichrist Bobby Hitt, founder of Pen & Paper, asked for a code after he got a load of hits from my journal. The LJ's not been used since February, though.

2. [livejournal.com profile] london_uk I created a community for London, as there didn't seem to be a decent one about. And promptly forgot about it. Oops.

3. [livejournal.com profile] rickj Rick Jones (no, not that one). Well-used, readable journal.

4. [livejournal.com profile] demonthefallen A community for White Wolf's Demon: the Fallen game. Intermittently trafficked.

5. [livejournal.com profile] bobsbeenskatin I was contacted on AIM by somebody wanting a code. On a impulse, I gave it to him. He turned out to be the worst stereotypical teenager you can imagine. He eventually dumped the journal for one with a "kewler" name. An error.

6. [livejournal.com profile] ninjarhino Sometime WW contributor and impressive internet imagineer Bryan Armor. A well-used journal.

7. [livejournal.com profile] lornabear A journal created for the sole purpose of letting my wife read my friends-only posts.

8. [livejournal.com profile] lostsorrow Another random contact, asking for a journal. More successful this time.

9. [livejournal.com profile] darkages A community for WW's Dark Ages line of games. Off to a good start so far.

10. [livejournal.com profile] entishlyernie4 Another random contact looking for a code. Time will tell...

I've never, ever heard of people randomly being hit up for LJ codes before.

I posted once about having loads of spare codes. The last two random inquirers both cited that post as their source. I guess I'm showing up in some Google search or other.

I didn't know the codes were redundant. That was the only reason I have a paid account really!

They are gone, gone, gone. The details are here (http://www.livejournal.com/users/news/74165.html).
