Presumably you can switch it off in the LJ App?

Charles Stross (in Halting State) suggests that in 5 - 10 years time we'll have kids who have never been lost in an urban area, and who will find it difficult to understand that anyone ever could have been.

Yeah, I'm a step on that road already. It was strange being in Berlin, so unable to use data services on the iPhone and call up a geo-located map whenever I needed.
