Restoration pics

hey, good luck!

looks like your job's cut out forr you...the wall was IN the garden with mine...I pulled out probably close to 500 pounds worth of brick and assorted masonry.

We've had similar issues. There's loads of debris in the soil from the last major internal renovation of the building back in the 60s. I've spent the last five years making the soil into something that plants will actually enjoy. Mulch, compost, mulch, compost...

Half a decade on, I'm still pulling lumps of glass out of the garden.

The earliest picture we've found is from the 1890s. It may be a few decades older than that, but the style is certainly Victorian, so we're looking at the latter half of the 19th century.
